Rachel Kallman is an NYC transplant from El Paso, Texas, with a deep-rooted commitment to fostering community connections and empowering youth. As a Youth Advocate for the PACT Education Department, Rachel extends her love for working with young individuals and immigrant communities. Through outreach and partnerships with various stakeholders, she facilitates comprehensive preventative education by developing and conducting PACT's youth workshops across the city's diverse communities. Guided by healing-centered practices and strengths-based approaches, Rachel prioritizes accessibility, team-building, and transparency, always striving to center the stories and voices of those impacted by oppression. Her ultimate goal is to contribute to direct service and policy work in restorative justice, community-based initiatives, and decolonial social work.
In her free time, Rachel embraces the vibrant energy of NYC, engaging in mixed martial arts with her gym community, enjoying beach days, and cherishing movie nights with friends and family. She considers herself incredibly fortunate to learn from the city's beauty and resiliency, and she looks forward to continuing her journey of growth and empowerment within this dynamic environment.
