Natalie Volin Lehr
Natalie Volin Lehr is an attorney with extensive experience in government affairs, political campaigns, public policy, coalition building, corporate philanthropy, and community relations. In her current role as the Head of Government and Community Affairs for Carlson, Natalie is responsible for the company’s community, industry, and government relations. She also oversees the company’s corporate giving and grantmaking programs.
Deeply invested in the anti-human trafficking movement, Natalie leads Carlson’s anti-trafficking work. She is a member of the World Travel & Tourism Council’s Anti-Trafficking Task Force, and she co-chaired ECPAT International’s Independent Expert Group on Child Protection in Travel and Tourism. In 2018, she served in a leadership role on the Super Bowl LII Anti-Trafficking Committee.
As part of her government affairs responsibilities, Natalie co-chairs the company’s Global Government Affairs Task Force and helps develop travel and tourism policy through supporting the CEO of CWT in his role as Chair of the U.S. Secretary of Commerce’s U.S. Travel and Tourism Advisory Board.
Prior to joining Carlson, Natalie served as the Executive Director of a Super PAC and led former U.S. Senator Al Franken’s leadership PAC and campaign committee. She also served as a legislative aide for Senator Franken where she managed his legislative portfolio on the Senate Judiciary Committee as it related to sexual assault, domestic violence, trafficking, and LGBTQ issues. She also worked on judicial nominations, including U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor’s nomination hearing.
Natalie earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the University of Minnesota and her law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School. Passionate about the arts, Natalie is also proud to serve on the board of the Minnesota Opera.
