Lori L. Cohen
Chief Executive Officer
Lori Cohen joined Protect All Children from Trafficking (PACT) in November 2019 after founding and leading a legal services program that assisted survivors of international and domestic sex trafficking and related forms of gender-based violence. While she initially focused on legal remedies, she realized the need for holistic care, including safe housing, medical and psychological support, and economic empowerment. Lori and her clients developed educational training for law enforcement, judges, social workers, and healthcare providers to help identify human trafficking, and also advocated for legislative change with policy makers.
Through these experiences, Lori learned extensively about trafficking from her clients and was inspired by their resilience and determination to build a survivor-informed movement against human rights abuses. Joining PACT was a natural progression, allowing Lori to leverage her skills and experiences to elevate survivor voices and generate a greater impact on a larger scale.
Lori has garnered international recognition for her work and has drawn upon her experience representing survivors to advocate for anti-trafficking policy on federal, state, and local levels. She has conducted training in the United States and abroad for attorneys, prosecutors, judges, health care professionals, and private industry leaders. In addition, she has taught at Yale University and the University of Michigan Law School.
