Leave a Legacy of Protection: Include PACT in Your Will

Planned gifts can be made through a will, trust, insurance policy or gift annuity arrangement. An important benefit of planned giving is that it allows a donor to make a commitment now without the necessity of using resources that are needed while they are still living.

About Planned Giving

Generally speaking, planned gifts can be customized to meet your personal philanthropic and financial goals. Planned gift options can include, a gift in your will, which require no current outlay of funds; or a charitable gift annuity that makes it possible to support PACT’s work, while enjoying a tax deduction if you itemize.

Please contact us if we can provide more information or help you in any way.

To assist you in making a decision in what planned gift option may be best for you, we invite you to share the Advisor Reference Tool (ART) from Endowment Development Services with your attorney, CPA, financial planner, or other professional advisor. The ART provides more detailed information about planned giving concepts and techniques.

Financial and Tax Benefits

Did you know that tax rewards associated with planned giving often allows donors to give more to a charitable organization than would otherwise have been possible?

Every dollar that donors give to a qualified charitable organization through an outright or deferred gift in your will is fully deductible for federal estate tax purposes when all legal requirements are met. If your estate may be subject to the federal estate tax, minimizing the impact of this tax on beneficiaries becomes an important consideration. Planned gifts also offer the benefit of avoiding the payment of  capital gains tax on the sale of appreciated stock. Since gifts in your will remove assets from your estate, they can help minimize the impact of the estate tax.
