Frances Tirado is a bilingual creative writer and director dedicated to telling the stories of those on the margins. She studied nonfiction writing and theatre at the University of Pittsburgh, merging her skills by directing a variety of shows and working in publishing and marketing with different arts management companies. During the pandemic, she worked with a nonprofit in Vieques, Puerto Rico, on Covid relief, hurricane recovery, and general disaster preparedness. She has worked in humanitarian support in Texas responding to the border crisis, trained at the CLI Conservatory while working as a junior producer at CLI Studios, and taught educational workshops about healthy relationships in all five boroughs of New York City with Gibney, Inc. She is excited to bring her multimedia approach to storytelling and creative direction to the social media at PACT. Having worked with vulnerable communities in Texas, New York, and Puerto Rico, she has a deep respect for the skill needed to highlight the unique situations that humans around the world and across the United States find themselves in. Working directly with children in all of those places, she is drawn to the joy and well of potential that exists in every child when given the chance to thrive.
