Poverty, struggling to meet one’s basic needs, is the largest contributor to increasing a child’s vulnerability to child trafficking. Other particularly vulnerable groups are children with dysfunctional families or no parental care who often end up homeless and immigrant children with no documentation, limited education and knowledge of the language.
