Eric Jacobs

Eric Jacobs is Senior Vice President and Global Leader for Marriott’s Select Brand portfolio.

From 2011-2021, he served as Chief Development Officer, North America where he was responsible for both franchise and managed growth for 10 of Marriott’s Brands.

From 2005 to 2011, he led Marriott’s Select Service and Extended Stay franchising and managed growth efforts in the Western United States.

His professional career includes 35 years of experience in the hospitality and restaurant business with extensive experience in hotel acquisitions and development, franchising, market planning and analysis, branding, and sales. He has worked for both private and publicly held companies including Hilton International, InterContinental Hotels Group, Stouffer Hotels and Resorts, and Tarsadia Hotels.

Eric serves on Marriott’s Human Rights Council and as an advisor to Marriott’s Spirit to Serve Initiatives.

He currently sits on the board of Extreme Response International, a global humanitarian aid organization committed to changing the lives of people living in extreme, often life-threatening situations.

He is also a board member of ECPAT-USA, the leading policy organization in the United States seeking to end the commercial and sexual exploitation of children.

Mr. Jacobs earned his bachelor’s degree in Hotel Administration from the University Nevada, Las Vegas.
