Daniel Bauman

Daniel Bauman has been a psychiatrist for over 25 years, with a decade of experience focused on serving New York City's homeless. During his tenure at St. Vincent's Hospital, Gouverneur Hospital, and the Urban Family Institute, Dan delivered psychiatric care in a variety of settings, including SROs, shelters, and the streets. Additionally, he served as the psychiatrist for both Covenant House and the Ali Forney Center, providing treatment to both the general adolescent population and LGBTQ youth. In his work within these environments, Dan provided real-time treatment to sex trafficked adolescents who were enduring victimization.

Currently, Dan maintains a full-time private practice where he frequently works with individuals who have experienced childhood abuse. Additionally, he serves as the psychiatrist for Prep for Prep, an organization committed to facilitating gifted public school students' access to prestigious preparatory schools.
