Join the Movement: Support PACT’s Mission to Protect Every Child

Last year, we introduced our new name, Protect All Children from Trafficking (PACT), reaffirming our commitment to end sexual exploitation and trafficking for every child. Our new identity seeks to inspire hope and honor each survivor, indicating that these outcomes don’t have to be inevitable.

Founded as ECPAT-USA in 1991, we helped to spearhead the movement to protect children when child trafficking was not widely recognized, when no laws, training, or support services were in place for victims. While we celebrate our new brand transformation, we remain deeply connected to a legacy of over 30 years of impact and unwavering commitment to child protection.

Here are a few key milestones under ECPAT-USA:

  • We were the first organization in the United States to work on the global problem of child sex trafficking.

  • We created the first educational materials on the sexual exploitation of children in the travel and tourism industry in the United States in 1992.

  • Per our request, the US Department of Transportation demanded that all US airlines inform their customers about the laws against child sexual exploitation, helping to spread essential awareness.

  • In 1994, we won passage of the first industry law on the sexual exploitation of children in the travel and tourism industry, making it possible to prosecute Americans in the United States for having abused children in other countries.

  • In 1999, we published the first-ever informational booklet about the commercial sexual exploitation of children.

  • In 2001, we launched the Tourism Child-Protection Code of Conduct in the United States, with Carlson joining as the first signatory.

The transformation is not a departure, but a natural progression, reflecting the growth and strength of the movement that has been upheld by the tireless dedication of our partners, donors, and advocates who have stood with us along the way.

With your continued support, we are more determined than ever to advance the vision that has always driven us: to build a world in which no child is bought, sold, or used for sex.

We thank all of our supporters, both long-time donors and those who are just now learning about our work.

ECPAT-USA never did and cannot do this alone. We need you to help us to continue to lead the change. I know that children are being used in prostitution right now as we speak. For me, and I suspect for you, it is unacceptable to live in a world where this happens.
