ECPAT-USA's Director of Private Sector Engagement Speaks with CWT About Trafficking in The Travel Industry

The travel industry has a particularly crucial role in protecting those most vulnerable to trafficking. Through training, education, and employee engagement opportunities, companies in the industry can help to end exploitation by being able to identify and respond to these issues.

In honor of World Day Against Trafficking in Persons (July 30), ECPAT-USA’s Director of Private Sector Engagement, Yvonne Chen, spoke with CWT’s Julian Walker, Head of External Market Communications & PR, about trafficking and exploitation and steps companies can take to protect children.

“A lot of these things, people look out for already,” Yvonne said. “No company is going to say that they support the exploitation of human beings, let alone children. But really thinking about if there are specific things that people and companies are already looking at, how can we look at those through an anti-trafficking lens as well.”
