Governor Andrew Cuomo Offers Letter of Support for Survivor Solidarity Ride

In anticipation of the event this Monday, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo sent a letter of support for ECPAT-USA’s Survivor Solidarity Ride. This year’s ride will take place across Suffolk County on Long Island on May 31 and will highlight locations in the area where survivors have indicated they were trafficked and where there have been reports of child exploitation.

“New Yorkers admire the courage of survivors of childhood sex trafficking and exploitation and have worked to restore their lives, including members of your Survivors Council who have since become outspoken leaders of anti-trafficking and advocates for your organization,” Governor Cuomo wrote. “Lending their voices to raise awareness, protect children, and call to end trafficking, they are individuals of incredible personal strength, and we applaud them. Thank you all for your efforts to achieve these common critical goals.”
