BTN Group Donates to ECPAT-USA At Their Inaugural Business Travel Show America Virtual Event

This week, I attended the inaugural Business Travel Show America hosted by the BTN Group (publishers of Business Travel News, Business Travel News Europe, Travel Procurement, and The Beat).  This virtual event brought together thousands of travel industry professionals for two days to address the realities of the global pandemic and its impact on the travel and tourism industry. Additionally, the BTN Group donated $1 for every buyer registration and pre-scheduled exhibitor appointment, which resulted in a donation of $3,000 to ECPAT-USA’s anti-trafficking program.

I was excited to be part of the conversation and connect with travel associates about our work and how we can better work together to protect children from exploitation.

It was a great way to talk with and meet new people and companies while speaking to the ever urgent issue of human trafficking. It is more important than ever for companies to include clauses about human trafficking in their contracts and to have anti-trafficking policies for their staff. I was also thankful for the opportunity to engage with many Code members, especially as I haven’t yet had the chance to meet with many in-person.

Thank you to BTN Group for supporting ECPAT-USA and continuing to find ways to address the injustice of child sexual exploitation and child trafficking!
