ECPAT-USA’s Hotel Anti-Trafficking Training Approved By Florida Officials

The state of Florida has approved ECPAT-USA’s hotel e-learning as meeting their state anti-trafficking training requirements. Under a partnership with the American Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA) and Marriott International, Your Role In Preventing Human Trafficking is available on our website in 17 languages, at no charge.

Currently, the state of Florida requires that human trafficking awareness training be completed on an annual basis and specifies that new employees shall receive training within 60 days of their first day for housekeeping, front desk, or reception area roles. The training must be approved by the Division of Hotels and Restaurants within the Department of Business and Professional Regulation.

A complete list of the laws and regulations that pertain to anti-trafficking training and signage in hotels from all 50 states is available in our report, Unpacking Human Trafficking. Updated periodically to reflect new legislation, Volume 3 of the report will be available in January 2021.
